On Saturday morning in West Barrhaven, two people trapped in an overturned car were freed by Ottawa Fire Services professionals.
At around 8:50 in the morning, emergency personnel were summoned to a two-crash on Borrisokane Road between Flagstaff and Strandherd drives.
By 9:02 a.m., firefighters were able to free the first victim, and by 9:06 a.m., they had freed the second
Two patients in critical condition were transported by Ottawa paramedics to the trauma centre.
The patients, who were only identified as being in their 20s and 30s, were in critical condition with multiple system injuries, according to paramedics.
