Forward Derick Brassard has signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators.
The contract has a $750,000 value.
The 35-year-old product of Gatineau, Quebec, played 46 games for both the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers last season, recording eight goals and 11 assists.
Brassard has worn a uniform for ten different teams during the cours of his NHL career, including the Senators.
He played for the Senators in the 2016–17 and 2017–18 seasons, tallying 77 points over those two years, including 11 points in the Sens' 2017 playoff run's first 19 games.
At the conclusion of the 2021–22 season, Edmonton did not re-sign Brassard, and in September he signed a professional tryout agreement with the Sens.
On Monday, the team revealed his one-year contract.
